How to get involved…

IDS provides a variety of ways for YOU to get involved in the giveback process!

Each month, the GBC will choose a Charity of the Month from a pool of suggestions sent in. The winning cause will be featured in our monthly newsletter, and IDS will donate up to $250 to it.

E-mail giveback@imagineids.com to submit a charity for consideration, including:

  • charity name, with a website URL
  • charity’s mission, goals, and actions
  • why the cause is important to you and your current involvement, if any
  • Windmills, Mustard Seeds, Corporate 5K-ing, and Mom Care

The Give Back Committee jumps excitedly at every chance to help out the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. This time around, RMH was in need of care packages for all the moms sticking by their little ones at the hospital day in and day out. Care packages included journals, disposable cameras, baby products, bibs, hand sanitizers, photo albums, and more, topped off with encouraging notes for the amazingly strong women residing at the three Central Florida locations. It’s a great honor to contribute to such a noteworthy cause, and the GBC wishes the families all the best!

  • Walking for Wishes, Dancing with Heroes, First Books, and PowerDMS™ Little League

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Missy (and her son, Joshua), Becky, Nathan, and Heath participated in the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Fifteenth Annual Orlando Walk for Wishes, located conveniently in our backyard, AKA Lake Eola. Everyone had a blast getting warmed up with some Zumba® dancing followed by a leisure walk to help grant wishes for children ...

  • Goats, Bees, and a Run around the Pines, Oh My!

Sustaining our Students (S.O.S.) of Central Florida, sponsored by Kavaliro, is a charitable organization close to the GBC’s heart that helps Central Florida students in need. Their mission is to ensure all students have the proper nourishment to sustain the focus needed to achieve academic success.

The Give Back Committee was happy to pitch in for another meaningful food drive. This time around, S.O.S. needed non-perishable breakfast items. We were fortunate enough to donate multiple breakfast-filled buckets for the food pantries and local schools.

Where else can you run through multiple islands and exciting Hollywood sets all within 3.1 miles!? Needless to say, they had a great time and were honored to benefit the Howard Philips Center for Children & Families.

  • 2011 GBC Donation: Lovell Elementary Computer Lab

This year, the IDS Give Back Committee agreed that as much as we value and enjoy participating in charitable events and seeking out a variety of organizations to provide donations for, we wanted to make a sizable donation that really hit home for us. Considering that we’re a technology company, it only seemed fitting that our donation involved computers or something similar.

Since we’ve gotten to know and love the kids from Lovell Elementary School after two trips to Busch Gardens, we decided, “What better opportunity than to enrich the lives and minds of a group of deserving young ...
