The PowerDMS Giveback Committee’s (GBC) hearts, along with the rest of the nation, go out to all those affected by the catastrophic tornadoes that ripped through Moore, Oklahoma. In an effort to help relieve some of the emotional wounds and aid in the rebuilding process, the GBC selected four charitable organizations to give the gift of monetary donations. These organizations are all centrally located in the midst of the disaster-stricken areas whose sole focuses are to assist those in need.
Lack of nourishment is a primary concern for victims who witnessed the fury of Mother Nature firsthand. Immediately following the chain of storms, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and their selfless volunteers kicked into overdrive to stock shelves with enough food and drink to serve the community. Not only are they well known as community leaders and hunger-relief advocates year round, they stepped up to feed hope by providing warm meals for all, despite the tragic conditions surrounding them. To learn more about the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and how to get involved, please visit their website atwww.regionalfoodbank.org.
In addition to providing immediate disaster relief in Moore, Convoy of Hope also assisted with feeding grief-stricken residents. Their 50-state Outreach Tour continually seeks out areas that are most in need of funds for urgent situations due to devastation in some capacity. They have fed more than 125,000 children around the world and continue to lend a helping hand whenever a dire scenario occurs. Interested in helping their cause? United Way of Central Oklahoma joined forces with The American Red Cross and various partner agencies to assist families and organizations with long-term recovery. Their collaborative efforts oversee immediate and long-term needs of all impacted areas in need of disaster-fund assistance. By monitoring progress continuously, the United Way and their partner agencies ensure that everyone in need of assistance receives direct communication, care and support throughout the entire healing and rebuilding process. News from the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 123 hit very close to home for the PowerDMS™ family. Officers from local agencies in Central Oklahoma, who have been loyal customers and friends throughout the years, had homes destroyed or heavily damaged, and one family lost a loved one. These brave men and women put their lives on the line every day to help protect community members. We’re honored to know such amazing individuals and are fortunate to be able to provide monetary contributions to help them and their families get back on their feet. Please visit their website at www.fop123okc.com for more information on helping these heroic officers and their families.
