The history of Father’s Day, dating back to 1908, is long and complicated. It wasn’t until 1972, in the middle of a presidential reelection campaign, Richard Nixon signed a proclamation making Father’s Day a federal holiday. Today, economists estimate Americans spend more than $1 billion each year on gifts for dear ole Dad.

In honor of Father’s Day, we asked the fourteen Dads of PowerDMS to share a few of their preferences. This graphic depicts the results. Here’s to hoping your Sunday is filled with new technology, cold beer and no lawn care!

PowerDMS wishes our Dads and the 70.1 million Dads across the U.S. a Happy Father’s Day!
