With a team almost 20 members strong, the CALEA Fall conference was one of our biggest shows yet. Three departments–Marketing, Customer Care and Sales–were represented, and a few members of the PowerDMS development team made an appearance.

Tons of free loot in tow, we made the nearly three-hour trek north to the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Jacksonville. Tuesday was a registration day for conference attendees, so we set up a booth nearby and passed out free blue “I’m an Assessment Man” and pink “Check Out My Assessments” t-shirts to everyone who came by, encouraging CALEA members to wear their shirt the next day, swing by our booth, and enter to win a free iPad. This shirts were a hit, and we saw several men and women sporting them on Wednesday as instructed.

Our lucky iPad winner was Lisa Graetz of the Union City Police Department, while our PowerDMS Prize Patrol made its rounds handing out gift cards, mugs, and even a Kindle to attendees wearing their PowerDMS™ t-shirts. Shirt-wearers were excited to be “spotted” and snag a fun prize on the spot.

The Customer Care team was also fully engaged. We set up an on-demand support and help center–which we dubbed SupportLIVE. Conference attendees were able to sign up pre-show for a time slot with a PowerDMS advisor. In these sessions, PowerDMS users were able to get one-on-one face time to have their unique, individual questions about our solution answered.
All in all, the conference was a huge success. We look forward to many more shows like this one in 2013.
