Staff wellness is “mission critical” for the fulfillment of correctional agencies’ dual mission of security and rehabilitation, which rely on staff retention and overall staff functioning. However, administrators are often faced with a plethora of possibilities for such programming with no clear guidelines as to what to implement, how, and why. Based on its 20+ years of investment in correctional staff wellness, Desert Waters Correctional Outreach provides the SafetyNet Accreditation™ program to offer data-driven, wholistic, and systematic staff wellness guidelines that consider nuances of correctional and other public safety workplaces. Additionally, Desert Waters commits to come alongside agencies that pursue SafetyNet Accreditation™ to coach and assist them as they construct solid and successful staff wellness programming.
