Earning a PowerDMS professional certification online is a significant way to validate your PowerDMS skills. When you become certified, you join an elite group of PowerDMS users who’ve acquired advanced PowerDMS knowledge and have the expertise to prove it.

Certifications
Tier 1 - Specialist Certification - $250
Content Management Specialist - Candidates that choose the Specialist tier of certification will go through the Content Management track and will have full knowledge of all features in the Administration Menu of PowerDMS, will be able to create groups and manage security, upload, manage, and revise documents in PowerDMS, utilize simple and advanced workflows, use PowerDMS Sync and PowerDMS Mobile, use Content Hub as both a publisher and a subscriber, and will be able to utilize Public-Facing Documents.
Tier 2 - Associate Certification $350
Candidates that choose the Associate tier of certification will choose between an Accreditation or Training Management track:
Content and Accreditation Management Associate - Candidates that choose the Content and Accreditation Management Associate tier of certification will go through the Content Management track. They will have a complete understanding of using Power DMS content management features, plus be able to subscribe to Standards Manuals, create assessments, understand roles and assignments, attach documents and proofs, highlight, use tasks, copy attachments and tasks to a new assessment, copy attachments between roles, set up assessors/auditors, and efficiently manage assessment reporting.
Content and Training Management Associate - Candidates that choose the Content and Training Management Associate tier of certification will go through the Content Management track. They will have a complete understanding of using Power DMS content management features, plus have a thorough knowledge of creating and assigning tests and surveys, using certificates to assign and track training, managing certificate expiration and notification, using certificate properties and customizing certificate images, using courses to disseminate information, creating multi-year courses for recurring training, utilizing training requests, and understanding all areas of training reporting.
Tier 3 - Professional Certification $450
PowerDMS Professional - Candidates that choose the Professional tier of certification will go through the Content, Accreditation, and Training Management tracks. The Professional tier candidates will have a complete understanding of using all of PowerDMS – Content, Accreditation, and Training Management features.
Renewal Tiers
Renewals that elect to renew at a more advanced program tier will be required to complete the relevant PowerDMS University courses and site build exercises required for the initial certification in that higher program tier.
Renewal at Original Certification Tiers:
Content and Management Specialist $50
Content & Training or Accreditation Management Associate $100
PowerDMS Professional $150
Renewal at a Higher Certification Tier:
Content & Managment Specialist tier to Content & Training or Content & Accreditation Associate tier $100
Content & Management Specialist tier to PowerDMS Professional tier $200
Content & Training Management or Content & Accreditation Management Associate tiers to PowerDMS Professional tier $100
Requirements
The PowerDMS Certified Professional programs officially designate participants as peers within the PowerDMS community and recognize the time, effort, knowledge, and skills necessary to attain PowerDMS professional certification. PowerDMS customers and partners with at least six months of master or limited administrator PowerDMS experience* will be eligible to apply for PowerDMS Certified Professional programs. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Qualified applicants will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis until the class is full. Approved applicants will be notified by email at the end of the application period. Candidates will be required to attend a virtual review session and a virtual proctored final exam.Please note: recertification will be required every two years.
*Exceptions to the six-month minimum master or limited administrator PowerDMS experience may be made on a case-by-case basis.
